Summary:
I ended up finishing the book. There were a total of 295 pages so this week I read another 98ish pages. I thought the last third of the book was very interesting and had me intrigued the entire time. So my last week prediction was right. The two Wilks brothers show up and everything turned into a huge mess. They found out the conmen pretended to be them. Huck and Jim didn't want to be part of this scandal so they leave once the money that the conmen got is found. The conmen headed to another town and people were not so happy to see them. They end up getting chase by a group of people and that was the last time that Huck saw them. Jim ends up getting sold to another farmer. Huck tries to go see and help Jim. The farmer was expecting his nephew so they welcome Huck thinking that its the nephew, but the real nephew is named Tom Sawyer who later pretends to be his stepbrother Sid. They ending up thinking of a plan to get Jim out of there, but while trying to achieve this plan, Tom ends getting a bullet in his leg. As they try to run away they realize that Tom needs medical attention. Huck goes back looking for help but his "aunt' doesn't let him go back with Tom any more. She wants him to stay because she is scared that she will loose another one of her boys. Later Tom and Jim come back. Jim is cuffed to a mattress and is accompanied by some farmers. In the end Jim is free because he helped Tom when he was ill and because Miss Watson passed away.
Questions;
What ended up happening to the two conmen?
Did they kill them?
Did they end up going to jail, if so for how long?
Is Jim completely free now? What does "free" mean during this time period?
Who is Huck going to end up going with?
Prediction;
Well the book ended so I can really predict what else will happen? If I were to guess I think that Huck is very happy because he isn't going to have to be with his father that beat him and is an alcoholic.
