This year in my math and science class, I have learned many new things. I have learned how to solve different algebra and word problems. My teachers Mr. Holmes and Mr. Ivan are always willing to help or explain something to me if I don't understand it the first time. I have also learned alot about science and scientific thinking. In fact, one of my projects invloved alot of scientific thinking. It was my Myth Buster project. In this project, we had to test a myth. My group decided to test this myth, "Does font, colr, size, and repetition affect your memory?". To test this myth, we first had to do research about how the brain holds memory, what memory is, how much memory can your brain hold, etc. After we had all of our research, we were ready to test. We decided to test 3rd and 4th graders. Each student would be tested four times, each time with a different test. Each of the tests had different words in the middle. Every test would be different. The first test would be based on color, the second test would be based on brightness, the third test would be based on repetition, and the last test would be based on font size. This was a very long project, but it got us thinking like adults. This projects also allowed us to think outside of the box and like a Myth Buster! I have really enjoyed this class because we do projects that a school would not normally do!
