Problem Statement
This was the final part of our "college" project. For this part we had to create a presentation for our parents that showed them why college was worth it. We had to include our top three college, two career choice (one that includes going to college and one that doesn't need a college degree), and a graph showing the return on investment. We also had the option of creating an advisory college presentation. I took on the extra challenge and will be presenting to senior advisories next week.
My Process
This was by far my favorite part of our project . I really enjoyed making the presentation even though it had a lot of steps to it. I started off my choosing three colleges. I choose two UC's that I would like to attend as well as one CSU to see the difference between a UC and a CSU. I then chose a career that needed a college degree, I chose immigration lawyer since that is the career I want to pursue. Then I realized that I needed to add a back up plan just in case I didn't go to college, so I began to research. After looking at various sites I decided to chose Medical Secretary since it is a career I wouldn't mind having. After choosing my two career I began to create a graph comparing both career, how much the average salary makes, and the return on investment. After my presentation was all finished I then presented the information to my parents. It was overall very successful and I really enjoyed it.

Self Assessment
Overall I would give myself an A on this part of the project because I really did work hard and took time to create my final presentation. I really grew in the area of refinement because my presentation was not in the beginning but with the help of my peers and all their feedback, I was able to edit my presentation. I really enjoyed this entire project because it allowed me to learn so much about college. It was very useful and I know that all this will help me in the future when I do go to college.
