Problem Statement
For this problem we had to create a loan calculator that would calculate how much money we would end up paying after college. We learned about loans and the difference between how much money you would have to pay if you decided to pay it back in 10 or 25 years. We had to use a spreadsheet and create "if" statements so that you can plug in whatever number and it would calculate it for you.
My Process
This in my opinion was a very long process, We started off my just making a spreadsheet and seeing how much money we would have to pay every year for college given a certain amount per year. We then had to create another spreadsheet showing how much student and parent loans we as well as our parents would have to pay in loans every year of college. We then learned about interest rate and how much money it would take to pay back all the loans either in 10 or 25 years and it was really interesting to see how much more money you pay in the end if you choose to pay it back in 25 years. Even though you pay more if you choose the 10 year plan in the end you end up paying less than the 25 year loan. Overall it was a very stressful and long process.
Solution
Here is a link to both of my spreadsheets so you can see my final calculator:

Self Assessment
Overall this in my opinion was the hardest thing I have done in math class so far. It really allowed me to think outside the box especially when it came to coming up with the "if" statements. I had a really hard time in the beginning, because I had no idea where and how to start but after really thinking I started to get the hang of it. I really grew in the area of questioning considering I asked for a lot of help and was not scared to do so. A lot of my peers helped me and then explained how to do. I got the hang of it and towards the end I was helping my other peers that were having a hard time with it as well. I would give myself an A because I really pushed myself and not only learned about college but about myself as well along the way.
